Hi, I'm Simon!
In 2019 I started my journey to build things online.
The last six years I worked with Umso as a Frontend Developer to improve the product and add new features. During that time I built many tools to create, manage and publish websites.
Below are some of my favorite things I've built over the years to showcase my skills and experiences.
Section Animations
This Feature enables users to add animations to their websites that are triggered when a section enters the viewport. The difficulty building this was designing a generalized system that works seamlessly across all sections. Especially implementing staggered animation for multiple elements was complex. This feature is my favorite by far!
This feature is used by over 100,000 websites!
And one user is myself. All Animations you see on this page are working with the system I built.
I enjoy building features that I use myself. This way, it's easier to understand the needs of my customers.
Map Section
Another one is a map section where users can show any location with a nice map using Mapbox. It's important to investigate the newest tools & packages that can be integrated to your projects so you get the best results.
UX Design
Cookie banners aren't the most attractive things to work with. Still it's mandatory to all users who want to create websites, especially in the EU.
I designed a solid UX to work with, enabling every user to quickly understand and implement the feature.
